Sharing the BIG NEWS x2!! I’m 19 weeks pregnant AND getting married in June! 🤰🏼 👰🏼♀️
I’ve been waiting for the right moment to share the big news… and I woke up this morning and decided that today’s the day!
I’m 19 weeks pregnant, AND my fiancé and I are getting married this June!
This has been such a special time for both of us and for our families. In addition to all of the physical changes occurring in my body, I’m going through a pretty significant internal transformation too.
My “Mama Bear” instincts are kicking in, and I’ve been getting to know a version of myself that’s stronger, more protective, and more courageous than ever before. All of the right birthing support people and resources have been finding their way to me, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with the whole wedding planning process too.
Between needing 10-12 hours of sleep every night and all the additional errands and wedding-related stuff on the side, I’ve had a lot less time and energy to devote to my business lately. I want to let you know that I’m still here and working on projects, just not able to reply to emails or check social media as often as usual.
So with that being said, thank you in advance for your patience, understanding, and support throughout this time! I appreciate you ♡
What does this mean for the future of my web business, Luminescent Dreams?
There are a lot of details that I’m still figuring out as I’m taking things day by day, but here’s what I do know for now:
Once I get married and legally change my last name, I’m probably going to change my business name from “Luminescent Dreams” to my new name, “Alyssa Stiles.” Everything else about my business will stay the same. I’ve been wanting to change my business name for a while, and this feels like the right time.
For now, I’m still taking on website projects, just at a more limited capacity. However, from September through December 2024, I’ll probably take some sort of maternity leave and reduce my hours significantly. So, if you have any projects on the forefront, just know that Spring and Summer of 2024 is the best time to get it done!
A couple of fun facts related to the baby & wedding stuff in case you’re curious:
The baby is currently the size of a mango and weighs about 11 ounces in my belly.
We’re going to wait to find out the gender until the baby is born.
My fiancé is an incredibly talented jeweler and actually made my engagement ring himself!

With all of the big changes coming up, I feel inspired to infuse more of my identity and personality into my social media content and brand. Of course, I’ll still be sharing website launches and Squarespace tips and tricks, but be on the lookout for more personalized thoughts and reflections from the mamapreneur side of me soon :)
